The Locals is an acoustic rock band from Chicago, IL. They just released their second cd called "Baby Buddhas and Little Einsteins". They tour all around the midwest and beyond. Their turn-on's include: the word "googe, packed out hole-in-the-wall bars, and grilled cheese sandwiches at 3am.
The Locals are a 4 piece: singer/songwriter Yvonne Doll(guitar/vox), Christy Nunes(bass), David "Goldie" Goldman (violin) and Ross Rutherford. They sometimes have guest musicians like Kit Kat or Summer Chance, sit in with them. They don’t mind.
The Locals' sound is a spicy sonic cocktail.... Mix these bands around in the blender of your mind (always make sure the top is on the blender): early No Doubt, Ani Difranco, Dave Matthews Band & John Melloncamp. Ok, now poor that concoction in a sweaty, rocket red tumbler, drink it all in one shot with a beer chaser, and you've got the Locals. Ahhhh...
