Long before bands like the Ramones and the New York Dolls were even heard of, the young Pete irritated his mother as he roamed throughout his home blasting out two chord Iggy Pop meets frankenstein songs on his little guitar. His mother considered sending him to a shrink, but then considered it merely a passing craze. It wasn't.The soninc wall of guitars in Pete's head soon joined forces with the Dylan, Stones and Beatles he so admired, and a new song writing sensibility began to develop. As soon as he was old enough to leave home, he formed his first band, and never looked back. Throughout the years Pete formed and fronted various bands, giving him opportunity to showcase the eclectic variety of alternative songs he had ammassed, from power pop to country rock to punk and folk.

In 1987 his self released album "DECISIONS" was voted as number two local indie release of the year by "ILLINOIS ENTERTAINER MAGAZINE". Pete moved to Nashville in 1990 and secured a record deal with indie lable Bitter creek Records. As he worked on his first Nashville release,he formed the alternative cowpunk band "THE NASHVILLE UNDERGROUND". His song "AIN'T NO TRAIN OUTTA' NASHVILLE", a blatant slap in the face of the rigid and synthetic country music industry, found it's way into the River Phoenix movie "THE THING CALLED LOVE". Pete rode the success of that by landing his group an opening slot for the Charlie Daniels band. Pete continued to pound away at the smoke filled haunts of Nashville, churning out his high voltage Hank williams meets the Stones songs.

Pete then assembled Steve Earle drummer Craig Wright and Webb Wilder bassist Tom Comet, and recorded the rocking four song ep "HELL TO PAY", which one Nashville rock publication described as" kicking the %^&#$* out of all them wanna be cowboys and faux punk rockers". Shortly after the release of Hell To Pay, Pete appeared in several movies, one a John Frankenheimer directed film, "AGAINST THE WALL", where Pete appeared as an inmate who talks too much and gets stabbed twenty times. He then landed a lead role as a gangster in the indie film "NIGHT FLIGHT".

In 1995 Pete loaded up the car and headed back to Chicago, where he lay low for a few years as he considered his next move. That move is "ONLY BLEEDING", a high octane in your face lifetime of biographies, Pete's finest work to date. If Jason And The Scorchers, The Ramones, and The Stones were barreling down the highway and crashed into a van carrying a pissed off Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Steve Earle, then with blood dripping from their faces they would go into the studio and record this album.
