Ripping up stages across the Midwest United States since July of 1999, American Motherload has built a strong underground following of fans who long for the return of true rock music. Their music lends itself to the heyday of hard rock with crunchy bass hooks, pure power guitar licks, solid drumming, ear splitting keyboards, and blues based vocal melodies. While 1999 was dedicated to laying the groundwork, 2000 was the the begining for their recognition. The band received an award at the Midwest Music Awards for being "One of the Top 5 New Artists of 1999" as determined by a readers poll, and received the coveted Publishers Award for "Most Promising New Artist of 1999" at the same awards show.
2001 was even better. When the Midwest Beat Magazine handed out it's Readers Poll Awards for 2000, the band received the awards for "Top Original Artist", "Favorite Vocalist", "Top Album Of 2000", and "Top Album Artwork" for their independantly released debut cd: "Burns Like Whiskey".
Back into the recording studio in Early 2002 to begin work on a follow up disc, American Motherload show no sign of letting up now that they have assumed control. The recent endorsement of EMG Guitar Pickups shows that the industry itself has begun to take notice of the bands potential. Their message to the music world is simple: Submit or be conquered.
